The Lives of Ants, as scientific books go, is one of the best and most well-written I have ever read. Easy to follow yet imbibed with scientifica data, facts and curiosities, it was surprisingly relaxing to read. I brushed up on my myrmecology and learnt astonishing new facts. There are a series of photos and drawings that help the less experienced readers and a copious bibliography to entice the eager-minded. A must for every human, especially those who think our species is currently dominating the Earth.

The Lives of Ants è uno dei miglior testi di divulgazione scientifica che io abbia mai letto. Facile da leggere e allo stesso tempo imbevuto di dati scientifici e curiosità, è stata una lettura sorprendentemente rilassante. Ho spolverato le mie nozioni di mirmecologia e imparato nuovi incredibili fatti. Ci sono una serie di foto per i meno esperti ed un’abbondante bibliografia per i più avidi. Una lettura imprescindibile per ogni umani, in particolare coloro che pensano di essere la specie dominante sulla Terra.
